As a Welding Specialist you will work in the field of welding technology from several different perspectives; ranging from R&D projects to providing expert support directly to our customers. This gives that you work together with people in R&D, Business Development and Sales and Marketing functions internally, but also collaborate with SSAB customers globally and external R&D partners. For this position a large focus will be the automotive industry.

Responsibilities
Contribute with expertise in development and approval of new steel grade through analysis and practical testing. Initiate and co-ordinate R&D activities within the area of welding internally and in external R&D partner network, for example collaboration with institutes and universities. The role is also highly communicative, requiring you to build strong customer relationships. This means that you are comfortable in providing expert advice, technical recommendations and support for SSAB customers.

Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher (Materials science, Engineering physics, Mechanical engineering, or equivalent).  
Experience in welding of steel products is mandatory, preferably resistance and laser welding techniques.  
Ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of internal and external contacts.
Comfortable in giving presentations in areas of expertise and results. Ability to plan, execute, follow-up and communicate. 
Fluent in writing and speaking English



meritorious

Main responsibilities
Contribute with expertise in evaluation of new steel grades in development projects and material approvals.
Provide expert advice, technical recommendations and support for SSAB customers. Participate in customer development projects.
Run development of material test methods, data analysis and modelling.
Initiate and co-ordinate R&D activities within the area of welding internally and in external R&D partner network.
Give presentations and hold educations in internal and external forums.

About You
Master’s degree or higher (Materials science, Engineering physics, Mechanical engineering, or equivalent).
Experience in welding of steel products is mandatory. IWE certification or equivalent is meritious, as well as experience of digital measuring and modelling techniques.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of internal and external contacts. Comfortable in giving presentations in area of expertise.
Ability to plan, execute, follow-up and communicate development activities.
Fluent in English, other languages a benefit.

SweMaint AB, med huvudkontor i Göteborg, omsätter ca 400 Mkr, har cirka 250 anställda i 10 verkstäder vid de stora järnvägsknutpunkterna i Sverige. Med dessa verkstäder samt 30 mobila servicefordon och lagerhållning av färdiga utbyteshjul på 30 olika platser i landet, erbjuder SweMaint snabb och effektiv hjälp med hjulbyten, reparationer och övrig service.

IWS arbetet
-Ha kontroll på den lokala verkstadens svetsrelaterade arbeten, liksom att sörja för att verkstaden följer riktlinjerna för företagets svetsorganisation
-Hålla verkstadens svetsande personal uppdaterade på gällande regelverk
-Samarbeta med verkstadschefen, övriga lokala IWS-are och SweMaints AB:s svetsansvarige
Förrådsarbetet
-Förrådshantering såväl fysiskt som systemmässigt i vårt affärssystem IFS men även i Ford, Hermes mm
-Beställning av gods, hjul och transporter
-Mottagning/avsändning av material
-Lossning och lastning
-Plockning av material till avsedda platser
-Aktivt delta i processen beredning/fakturering med avseedne på uttaget material och reservdelar
-Inventering
-Ansvar för lokal sophantering och skrothantering
-Arbeta aktivt för materialförsörjning
-Kundkontakt materialfrågor
-Mottagningskontroll av ankommande material
Vi söker dig som har erfarenhet av IWS och av att arbeta i förråd. Du ska kunna arbeta självständigt men också kunna samarbeta med andra i team. Vi ser gärna att du har god fysik eftersom arbetet kan bestå av en del tunga moment. Vi förutsätter att du har god ordning och reda. C-behörighet är meriterande.
